Like a child, Jesus comes.

This is one of my very favorite advent songs.  It reminds me that Jesus came to us as a child, runny nose, dirty feet and sticky hands.

Like a child born to pray and to show us the way,

Like a child we receive,  All that love can conceive,

Come surely, Lord Jesus, as dawn follows night,

 our hearts long to greet you, as roses, the light.

 Salvation, draw near us, our vision engage.
