
It might have happened. This was the first attempt at a patent for an electric shaver invented by Colonel Jacob Schick. It was rejected by manufacturers. I can't imagine why.
He didn't give up, though, and on November 6, 1928 (83 years ago today), Colonel Jacob Schick patented the first electric razor, which looked like this.
I'm just glad it got invented. The men in my life have always preferred electric razors over the manual kind.
Although Andy has been known to reject both.
So, in praise of clean shaven men everywhere, let's think of Colonel Schick with fondness today.
